January
We are experiencing more of our crazy California weather this winter. We had the second dryest December in over 100 years! It's still early in winter, so we are hoping for the best but better prepare for the worst. Thank goodness we had a good amount of rain last season to help carry us through. The trees are bare, the temperatures are cold and the fog is hanging around. It sounds dreary but it's a peaceful time of year when we catch up on projects and the trees rest up after harvest.
Now that the holidays are over and everyone is thinking about getting back into their routine, don't forget to include almonds in your daily diet. Studies have shown that including almonds provides satisfaction and of course loads of nutrition. An interesting aspect of the study showed that because participants felt satisfied after eating the almonds, they tended not to overeat. So enjoy!
